Tools

Connect: Insert IP address to which device Behalf has been installed or will be installed and password.
You will need to add an IP address within the following range 192.168.1.0/24 if your address as not in the same subnet.
For first time connect, see Change Password.

Network Config: Displays and configures device NICs.
Eth0 = Wan
Eth1 = Lan

Change Password: This is a must. When newly installed, please change the password. If successfully done Behalf will be disconnected automatically.
Default password Baraka (case sensitive)
Default IP 192.168.1.168/24

Set Time: Updates time and date on Behalf device.

Backup: The backup option will create a copy of all Behalf files that is on the Behalf device to the computer that Behalf admin software is installed on.

Restore: Restoring from Behalf admin option will upload the last backup files created that it has to Behalf device.

General Statistics

Max Lines: represents the number of lines that will be read in the log file and then will exit.
Tcp Only: By default Behalf will read only tcp request only in the log file within the maximum number of lines in Max Lines.
Udp Only: If selected, Behalf will compute only udp request in log file within the maximum number of lines in Max Lines.
Both: This one is quite obvious.

Server statistics

Max Lines: represents the number of lines that will be read in the log file and then will exit.
Size Distribution: shows size-based distribution of requested objects, smaller numbers result in more verbose reports. Choose 2, 10 or 100 for useful output.
Performance: show throughput data for every 'n' minutes.
Domain Report: Request-destinations by top level-domain.
Type Report: show 'n' content-type, 'n' extensions and requested protocols.
Response Time: sum up the time distribution over all objects.
Status Report: show verbose status reports.
Error Code: show verbose Error Code reports.

Client statistics

Max Lines: represents the number of lines that will be read in the log file and then will exit.
Targets: show 'n' targets for every Requester.
Reports: show 'n' Requesters/User.
User Info: use ident information if available (*)
No Dns Lookup: no-lookup, don't look IP-Numbers up.

Dns Server:

Inserted Dns Servers: Will display all known Dns servers on Behalf device.
Dns Address: Inserts Dns server IP address into the list of available Dns Servers. Click Add, IP address will be displayed in 'Inserted Dns Servers'.
Note: Dns request will be send to the server in listed order (top to bottom). If your device is slow to response, insert your own Dns Server at the top of the list and click activate.
